Derkhshan Takht Gonbad Copper Processing Company has been operating since 2009 within a land area of approximately — hectares, fully funded by private sector investment. The company is active in copper exploration, extraction, production, and processing, and has successfully created significant value by employing more than 2,500 people directly and 7,000 indirectly, utilizing over 300 units of road-construction and mining machinery, and establishing 4 crushing plants—playing a vital role in national production and job creation.

Although industrial processes inevitably involve a degree of environmental impact, this company has made strong efforts to minimize such effects by strictly adhering to environmental standards and benefiting from the expertise of the Department of Environment. Accordingly, the company has expanded its production capacity with minimal environmental degradation and has secured all necessary permits related to operation licensing and the establishment of a tailing dam (sediment retention), environmental core unit, HSE department, as well as obtaining environmental permits for leaching, flotation, and other processing activities.

Additional accomplishments of the company include the construction of a power plant, a 22-kilometer gas pipeline—providing gas access to nearby villages along the route—engineering improvements on hazardous road curves, surface water collection systems, and the implementation of wastewater treatment infrastructure.

To enhance workforce competencies in safety, technical expertise, personal protection, and professional skills, the company has continuously organized structured training programs. These programs are designed annually based on systematic need assessments and are delivered in collaboration with certified instructors from Islamic Azad University of Sirjan, Technical and Vocational University, the Sirjan Safety Association, and various accredited educational institutions throughout Iran.

Human resource recruitment and employment practices are strictly based on the national Job Classification Plan, with wages paid in accordance with the provisions of the Labor Law, and employee insurance provided under the regulations of the Social Security Organization. Furthermore, occupational health requirements are ensured through mandatory pre-employment medical examinations, regular periodic check-ups, seasonal evaluations, and monitoring of harmful risk factors.

It is also noteworthy that employee welfare services are considered a priority. Transportation services, essential goods distribution, and additional supportive programs are provided to ensure the well-being and convenience of the workforce.

In line with the national development vision—aimed at strengthening self-sufficiency in copper production, preventing raw material export, and increasing the country’s export value—we are committed to advancing and completing Phases 3 and 4 of production, while prioritizing the procurement of modern equipment and leveraging the capabilities of knowledge-based companies to make significant progress in this direction.
