Sirjan's Imam: Visit to Takht Gonbad Copper Mine Was an Interesting and Exciting Experience / A Complex Free from Pollution and with a Development Cycle Plan / People Should Appreciate This Blessing and Employment

The Imam of Sirjan, along with the Imam of Balvard, visited various sections of the private Takht Gonbad Copper Mine in a multi-hour tour and said after the visit, "Honestly, the visit to this mining complex was interesting and exciting for us."

Ayatollah Abbas Moslemi Zadeh added, "We thank God that an invaluable economic complex has been established in this region, which is perhaps economically disadvantaged, and with the effort of the youth of this region, this large and respectable complex has been formed, employing nearly three thousand people."

He stated, "In any case, job opportunities have been created for the children of this region right here, while creating jobs is considered one of the main duties of the government, which has been achieved with government support, investment, and the entry of the private sector."

The Imam of Sirjan said, "The Takht Gonbad Mining Company has generously provided this space, and the volume of equipment and actions taken, while adhering to environmental principles, is very significant."

Beyond Our Imagination

He stated, "Before we came here, our imagination (of this company) was something else, but we came and saw, thank God, the Lord of the Worlds, a very prestigious and valuable complex has been established here, which is also supposed to complete the production cycle almost right here."

Moslemi Zadeh stated, "According to the report announced by Mr. Behabahani, the CEO of the complex, alongside development plans, it is planned to produce chemical fertilizers from the same mining processes and reactions happening here, which will be done according to existing structures and with legal permits."

Development in a Pollution-Free Environment

The Imam of Sirjan continued to point out another important factor and environmental issues, emphasizing, "Another noteworthy point was that the whole area we visited was very clean and green, with no industrial or mining pollution observed; even in the copper extraction section with acid injection, it is done in a very high-quality scientific process without any trace of pollution, which was very interesting and exciting for us."

He stated, "In any case, the activity of an industrial complex of this magnitude may have some impact on the region's ecosystem, but not witnessing pollution in such a complex was very interesting, and honestly, with the pristine nature and cleanliness of the area, there was truly no pollution, and we did not observe any case."

The Imam of Sirjan emphasized, "I sincerely thank Mr. Behabahani and his colleagues, thank God, this complex becomes a foundation and infrastructure for future progress, one that is not planned to be relocated; finally, the people of the region should also appreciate this blessing and the employment here."

He also pointed out the social responsibilities and contributions of the mine for empowering the region, saying, "We hope that with the coordination that takes place, we will witness strengthened cooperation in various fields in fulfilling the social responsibilities of the dear ones."
